Handcrafted – What does that mean?

You often see the phrase handcrafted or homemade on labels in supermarkets or fast food restaurants when really it is just a marketing ploy. The sausages and burgers you get in those places are machine made and never saw a hand.

At Gallagher’s we have our own abattoir and therefore deal with the whole carcass . Therefore that means we have all the parts to make all the products from scratch.

At Gallagher’s our sausages and burgers are made by hand – handcrafted – that’s a fact.

Best Butcher Sausages and Burgers

We use the best pork shoulder meat in our Handcrafted Best Butchers Sausages. That gives the sausages a wonderful taste and texture. From our Pork range you can choose from Traditional Pork, Pork and Leek and Cumberland Sausages. Occasionally we make Beef Sausages as well . They are not a big seller in Donegal but some people from other counties like them – so keep an eye out for them!

At Gallagher’s,  our Burger Selection has something to suit most tastes. Our Pork and Apple Burger and our Lowfat Lean Steak Beef Burger have been firm favourites among our customers. For those of you who like it a bit hot and spicy we do a Peppered Steakburger. That should satisfy the more adventurous appetite.

All our beef burgers are hand made from the Best Butcher Prime Beef Steak Mince.

So whether it’s a weekend breakfast or a family barbecue or even just a simple lunch we have a selection of the best sausages and burgers to suit your needs.
